If there’s one thing we really focus on at Adlyn Construction, it’s providing a smooth and pleasant consultation, communication and construction process.

We know that you have many options when it comes to updating your home, that's why we offer a free consultation to help you make your decision. Let's ensure we are the right fit before you spend a dime.

Step 1: Initial Contact

When you reach out to Adlyn Construction with your vision for a home renovation, one of our team members will promptly get in touch. In this initial conversation, we’ll discuss the details of your project, including the scope, budget, goals, motivations, and desired timeline.

Step 2: Project Evaluation

After our initial conversation, the Adlyn Construction team will carefully review your renovation project to assess its feasibility and ensure we’re the right partner for your goals. We’ll provide an estimated timeline, offer referrals to skilled interior designers, and share a preliminary cost estimate to align with your expectations. If everything meets your needs, we’ll move forward with a more detailed, in-depth consultation.

Step 3: Onsite Consultation

In this crucial step, we get a closer look at your space and get to know your unique vision. We’ll introduce the essentials of pre-construction planning, which typically takes 10-100 hours. Together, we’ll consider structural challenges, asbestos concerns, layout ideas, functionality, and lifestyle needs, while refining the budget. Within approximately one week of the on-site consultation, we’ll provide a Construction Cost Estimate (CCE) at no charge, roughly detailing the expected scope and cost of pre-construction services.

Step 4: Pre-Construction Agreement

Once you’re ready, we’ll establish a pre-construction agreement that clearly outlines your renovation’s objectives, cost estimate, and timeline. This agreement will also specify architectural plans, engineering assessments, asbestos analysis, a detailed project scope, and access to interior design services. We’ll also outline the next steps. Our pre-construction services typically range from $1,000 to $10,000, plus GST.

Step 5: Drawing & Specifications

With the pre-construction agreement in place, we’ll collaborate with trusted trade partners and suppliers, conduct site visits, and finalize design feasibility and pricing. This thorough planning process, usually requiring 10-50 hours, ensures that the project scope matches your architectural drawings and specifications. We’ll also confirm a target start date and establish deadlines to keep everything on track.

Step 6: Construction Planning & Team Introduction

Once planning is complete, you’ll meet the Adlyn Construction team that will bring your renovation to life. We’ll address any questions, explain our construction processes, and cover logistical details. Typically, we require 1 to 3 months from the contract signing to project start, allowing time to coordinate schedules and secure essential materials with longer lead times, such as windows, doors, and cabinetry.
